Trainer Session Recordings

DaDesktop provides a few distinct ways to capture recordings of desktops and courses. These include troubleshooting recordings, Training Room recordings, and trainer recordings.

Trainer recordings are captures of the trainer’s DaDesktop machine. To begin recording a session on the trainer machine, follow these steps.

 

1. Click the three vertical dots to open a small dropdown menu. Then, from that menu, select 'Connect (with session recording)'

2. 

   The system creates an audio/video recording of the trainer machine, but the recording is only available after the virtual classroom is closed and the file is generated. Note: SuperAdmin users have an additional menu option to view recordings live while they are being made.

3. To view and edit recordings, click the cog icon and go to the Recordings menu.

 

Recordings

 

There are two ways to view trainer recordings of their trainer machine.

1. You can access recordings from the Recordings menu described above. From there, you can play or delete them as needed. The double spanner icon marks 'Troubleshooting Recordings'—these are created automatically and aren't meant for presentation; they're used for troubleshooting whenever necessary.

  2. Through the 'Recordings' tab within a course, you'll see trainer recordings, Training Room recordings, and troubleshooting recordings.
